Meg and Sam brought the magic with them when they travelled from the UK to say “I do” at the stunning Château Cazenac in the heart of the Dordogne. Their wedding was the perfect mix of heartfelt moments, relaxed vibes, and proper belly laughs – all set against the backdrop of this dreamy French château. With rolling hills, golden sunlight and ivy-covered walls, Cazenac gave us the kind of setting you honestly can’t make up… it’s just that good.
The whole day felt like one long summer evening – slow and joyful, with no rush and no fuss. They had their ceremony under the trees with their closest people, followed by drinks on the lawn and dinner al fresco as the sun dipped behind the hills. The speeches had everyone laughing and wiping away a few tears, and by the time the dancefloor kicked off inside the château, it was full-on party mode. It was the kind of wedding that makes you feel lucky just to be there, camera in hand.
As a UK wedding photographer, I absolutely love shooting destination weddings like this one at Château Cazenac. There’s something so special about escaping the everyday, gathering your people somewhere beautiful, and just soaking it all in. If you’re planning a relaxed, fun wedding in France (or anywhere a little off the beaten path), I’m always up for an adventure and would love to come along for the ride.
